Parents
Parents are updated with news of events and meetings, etc, by email, which means that, in the majority of cases, ‘pupil post’ becomes a thing of the past. Hard copies are of course available for parents with no email access. We will always endeavour to contact parents by phone if we need to speak urgently.
Parents are kept informed about their child’s progress through termly written reports and are notified in person if any problems arise during the day/term. The staff are available to parents before and after school, or at any other mutually agreed time. There is a Parents’ Evening once a year and all parents are encouraged to take an active part in the parents’ association.
The staff are qualified and experienced and committed to the personal, social and academic development of the pupils. Small classes allow teachers to monitor carefully each child’s progress and to give personal tuition where necessary. In addition, the staff encourage the children to develop their own abilities and interests as fully as possible.
