A word of welcome…
It has been my great joy and privilege to have been associated with St Martin’s over many years, firstly as a parent and then as a form teacher. My two children benefited greatly from an excellent, all-round education in a caring environment, where the three ‘Rs’ are high priority and where fairness, honesty, respect and good behaviour are valued.
Being part of the team here means that I have been able to help reinforce these basic values and to give the individual attention required to see that the ambitious targets we set our children are met and often exceeded. Our excellent grammar school entrance exam results bear this out.
Now, as headteacher, my aim is to ensure that every child continues to fulfil his or her potential, enjoys school life to the maximum and looks back at St Martin’s as a wonderful learning experience. I strongly believe that happy children learn well, and know that the caring, family environment of St Martin’s is paramount to its continuing success.
I am totally committed to producing well-rounded individuals, fit for the demands of senior school life - not only equipped with an excellent academic base from which to embark on the demands of secondary studies, but also instilled with good social values, reinforcing those taught in the home.
Our school’s motto is ‘Thorough’; this principle underpins all that we stand for. But don’t just take my word for it. Come and experience our unique and charming educational environment for yourself. You are assured of a very warm welcome!
